PEKK (polyetherketoneketone) is a high-performance thermoplastic that has similar properties to ULTEM and PEEK in the FDM processing family but with more flexibility in the geometries that can be built and great value pound for pound in terms of cost to performance ratio.

PEKK’s excellent material properties include high strength and heat resistance, toughness and wear resistance. These superior qualities make it a lighter alternative to aluminium and steel in certain use cases.

PEKK’s chemical resistance and minimal outgassing make it suitable for aerospace applications where prototypes and parts are exposed to jet fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid.

Other uses include industrial applications where high-strength and chemical resistance are needed.

3D printing with PEKK avoids the waste associated with subtractive manufacturing of high-cost bulk PEKK material.
